3 Steps to Becoming a Hyper-Connected Team

Start by being open with team members. You want all team members to feel safe when they share their ideas with everyone around them. Plus, you need an environment where team members can share opinions without fear of being put down and accept feedback with an open-mind.

If you or team members do not feel they can be open with each other, enlist the help of a leader to take steps to create an environment where team members can be open with each other.

Next you want to make an effort to understand each team member’s points of views. Each person comes to the table with various perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.

It’s a good thing as we want the team to have diverse points of views as that’s when more effective solutions are created. Share in a respectable and positive manner as that tends to be received more openly.

You and team members need to come to an agreement that works for both sides, or at least have all options shared first before deciding on the best path forward.

You want to make sure it’s not a one-sided conversation as that tends to deflate teams. Help the team come to a mutual consensus on the decision and clearly understand that it’s the right decision for the entire team overall.
