Ops Insights #001: ChatGPT is Next Level Support for Fundraising

ChatGPT is a free resource that will save you from time-consuming tasks. Will you use it?
ChatGPT is the biggest innovation of the decade. The best part is you do not have to be an Ai or tech expert to use it. Over 100 million users have been using it – from entry level users to advanced users.
A few things to keep in mind:
Be prepared to interact and engage in a two-way dialog. You can ask if it understands the question you are asking and even to ask you clarifying questions.
To maintain the integrity of what you produce, do not copy/paste from it. Rather use it to brainstorm or get a first draft started.
If you are asking for stats, make sure to double-check what it produces with other resources.
Do not add any sensitive data. Remember it is open to the public.
ChatGPT has gained so much traction that the next iteration GPT4 has been released.
A few things you might try from a fundraising prespective:
Draft a follow-up thank you email or the beginning of a proposal after a prospect meeting and then add your personal touch.
Look to spruce up your donor acknowledgements with more impactful messaging.
Add notes from a donor story interview and ask it to provide the highlights to engage various audiences (and include the audiences you are trying to engage).
Start a draft of a donor impact report to show fundraising progress and how the donors’ contribute to that progress.
